Nice shooting David. I upgraded you to Expert. Congrats.
Marty,Does it qualify for Master?
I am slightly confused by the pic with the calipers measuring the group size.... The digits say 0.969", but the 1" mark, and some distance past it, is clearly visible on the Vernier.... In addition, I measured the diameter of the "X" ring on my screen as 20mm, and the C-T-C distance as 21.5 mm.... Are you sure the calipers were zeroed before you used them to measure the group?.... Easy thing to forget.... The only reason I ask is because my calibrated eyeball told me that group was over 1", just by comparing it to the size of the "X" ring.... Bob
This is the reason I don't like using calipers in pictures. One can make them say whatever size you want. I prefer seeing rulers in the pics.Good shooting David.
Thanks for the double check guys! After waking this morning and seeing Bob's post, I measured a ruler with the calipers 5 times and got 4 different lengths. It appears that my cheepo calipers are done.

Apparently if your battery is low it can make them unreliable.Jim - jhm757
