Mark,Lol, am I the nut behind the trigger? I don't think there is much that can be done about me. The issues I have with the 853 are minor. My velocities are not very consistent. Maybe "I" need to replace all the seals. I've soaked the foam wiper with synthetic ND oil. I think I have around 100 pellets through it. So maybe the CMP refurbish wasn't performed before I received the rifle. Also the rear receiver screw threads were stripped when I tried to disassemble the rifle for the first time. I ordered a replacement receiver and 888 trigger group. I added and adjusted the rear set screw. The trigger is still vague but lighter. The stock is short and very thin in the pistol grip area for me. I have been using the cheap Crosman milk carton wadcutters so they may be the reason for the velocity inconsistency. I really am just nit picking. I know no rifle will fit me perfectly. For the $115 I spent on the 853 it has more than exceeded my expectations.
OK enuf for this post. When I get going, sometimes I can't stop. I think the term is 'motor mouth.'
And you need to get the shot off within about 8 seconds of setting up the sight picture.
AC12,Thank you!I've sent an email to Pyramid Air customer service to get me the length of pull on the Air Arms T200 and MPR. I haven't received a response yet.I have read that the AR20 is regulated and the MPR isn't. Would that give the AR20 an advantage in more consistent velocities or at ten meters is it not a detriment to the MPR if it has a velocity curve?I have to research the difference in the sights or would they both need to be upgraded?I do have to research the AR20, MPR and T200 triggers. How far off are these triggers than say the FWB 600 series? Can they be adjusted to good enough?I do see the FWB 600's mentioned a lot in my research. I have to find out what the differences are between versions. Would this rifle be a good used tier 1 option to look to buy?Thank you,Taso
