20 From 20 With The TX

I can't shoot 100 shots like Ed in North Carolina.
Too hot here in Northern California.
I did manage 20 from 20 yards though in preparation for the match at Diablo, tomorrow.
You notice #1 has three holes...
I had to re-check my zero with 4.52mm 8.64gr H&N pellets.
Why, you ask?
I dropped (horrors) the TX on the garage floor.
It was leaning against the work bench as I walked by and the size 12s got a little close.
No scratches though.
That comes from having a cluttered garage floor.
Now, if all or most of my shots tomorrow are near 20-25 yards....I am in.

Very well done -- especially for someone of our "maturity level".

Tommy,
I might be old but I refuse to be mature.
Scott can verify that.

Nicely done. Did you shoot from a bench or bucket & sticks?

Glad you didn't damage your rifle, mine fell off my recliner on to the floor, terrible feeling. Nice shooting.

HFT Pappy.
Bucket & Sticks,,
Well done, I probably wouldn't hit the entire target off of sticks.

Well, shoot.
Just back from Diablo FT Match
71%
34/48
Missed everything inside of 19 yards.
Practiced all week, shooting 20 yards+
For the record those 19 yards and closer were 1/2" and 3/8".
Oh well.
There is always next week!

Excellent! You sir are a much better shot than I!
A couple days ago I shot two 60 shot sessions in a row upstairs at 18 yards with my R9, one with straight from the box CPLs and one with the CPLs after sizing the heads with a home made pellet sizer. Here is a scan of the target........

As I said.....YOU are certainly a better shot than I,
excellent shooting

I am thinking when I dropped the rifle (see above) I might have knocked the close focusing lens in the scope or something.
Everything outside of 20 yards today I was on fire.
I even fired 50% offhand which for me at almost 70 with a 10 pound rifle is quite rare.
Tomorrow I will start at 10, 11, 12 ,13, 14, etc.
Thanks for your comments, Ed.

I had a scheduling conflict for the FT Match- If I had seen your 20 for 20, I might have had a confidence conflict as well!
.
See you at the Diablo silhouette match!
