I also think it is 12X but from what I understand you can have any scope you want on your rifle and only turn it up to 12X. The other thing that is not allowed in FT Hunter Class is that you cannot touch the turrets and have to depend on the Mil DotsNorm
If you're using a PCP, or choose to do so, you can go to other class, and use what ya brung. AAFTA is your guide.
90% WOW!
I just bought one of the these for HC http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-12x42-Tactical-Riflescope-P53714.aspx . I haven't received it yet but it looks like a fantastic reticle for hold over and under and the fixed 12X will only need one dope sheet. When it arrives I'll compare it to my Sidewinder 4.5-14 X 42 (which I was planning on using) for a quality baseline and report back of course.Tom

I'm shopping for a side focus scope for HFT. I understand the 12X rule during competition but have the impression that the very high mag. ( eg. 8x32 even 10x40 would help in marking the range wheel during setup due to the shallow depth of field for focusing. I just read a positive comment on the hawke night eye 3x12 digital. Sounds good but how does it range at between 10 and 55 yards?
