Thank you, Randall. And it was really my fault that I missed yesterday. I took a couple of shots at my home range and hit the center both times. After 60 years of squirrel hunting, I still get excited. The two I killed were DRT shots.
Definitely a good end to the season. The Red Bugs [Chiggers] are out - but I have only two bites. I didn't find any ticks on me. So that is a win for me.
My brother hunts in a small wooded area in Louisiana (about 12 acres) and had gotten eaten up by the Red Bugs. This season, he mixed 'Deep Woods Off' with sulfur powder. He dressed his boots collars/tops with the goo. He said "No Red Bugs this season."

Your brother is smart and it's good to know that mixture WORKS!
Bicycleman:
He is smart, Randall. And he is a better shot than I am too.
ranchibi:
Mike, don't underestimate yourself! You're smart, articulate and a wonderful marksman! My shooting in the field is nothing to write home about but my RAW's accuracy helps quite a bit...😂👍. I don't get out in the field too often so I feel uncomfortable for a little while, I mainly shoot from a bench. Still it's quite a bit tougher to get spot on accuracy in the field in my humble opinion. I appreciate those that hunt in the field with elevation changes and shooting from different positions, it's tough to get really good eye position in ones scope....kudos to you!

Hi Mike.
Good read on your hunt.
We all miss a few, I've certainly missed my share.
It is nice to end a season with a couple in the bag.
Best Wishes - Tom
Bicycleman:
Wow! Thank you Randall.
