Penetration depth in ANIMAL MEAT
(1/1)
Mildot_Spanish:
The penetration depth in ANIMAL MEAT of a projectile depends on its mass, its sectional density (caliber squared) and the velocity at the moment of impact. This formula gives an approximate penetration of centimeters in meaty tissue WITHOUT BONE. The formula gives the depth of penetration both for a deformable projectile and therefore increases its diameter by approximately 35% when penetrating the fleshy tissue, as well as for a non-deformable projectile whose penetration will be much greater.
Non deformable projectile Penetration in cm = ((((mass projectile in gramos*15,4324)/7000/((diameter projectile in mm*0,0393701)^2)*impact velocity in m/s)*0,42628)*2,54)
Deformable projectile Penetration in cm = ((((mass projectile in gramos*15,4324)/7000/(((diameter projectile in mm+(diameter projectile in mm*35*0,01))*0,0393701)^2)*impact velocity in m/s)*0,42628)*2,54)
