OK, I'll bite. What is IFP paper?
I been shooting Hunter Field Target since November last year. I am shooting a TX200 off a Bogpod while seated on a 5 gallon bucket. In my first competition, I took 3rd place in a field of high-end PCPs. Call it beginner's luck!In spite of my early success, I am having problem with improving my 30 yard IFP paper targets. Since my AG club is in Wisconsin, we compete during the Winter (6 months) indoors with IFP paper targets. I seem to be stuck in the mid 20s to low 30s score (on a good calm day). I think it has to do with shooting one shot per bulls. Today I shot a 25/50 at 30 yards with a 12 mph cross wind on my home range. Just for fun, I shot my rabbit silhouette with a 1.5" kill zone at 50 yards with the same cross wind 9 out of 10 times! What gives? I can shoot silhouettes just fine, but when it comes to IFP paper targets, I am mediocre at best.Any advice would be appreciated. I think I am more relaxed and intuitive when I am shooting silhouette targets, and over analytical when shooting IFP paper targets.
Bob,As strange as your advice is, you are probably right! Contrast does matter.
