Just curious on what the resale value would be on a Sig ASP20, i have one that just sits in a case and it has the Sig ASP20 Whiskey 3 scope, and is the beechwood version. Only additions were a sling stud and barrel clamp for sling.

I figured mine wasn't worth selling. It is a good gun, I just don't need that much power. The last potential buyer flaked because of a slight mark on the stock at the base of the recoil pad. The box is big, and would probably cost too much to ship.

I bought my synthetic .22 (no glass) as an unfired new/demo gun for $300. I think they are darn good for what they are, but they were never meant to be Weihrauch-like.
Unfortunately, SIG has abandoned them to no parts, no support. And many parts were unique. That's the issue with them.
To a buyer who isn't concerned, you might swing 450- 500 IMO. Shipping will be quite pricey too, and may impact the sale price. And if I were buying, I'd struggle to justify more than 350, maybe 400 for everything including shipping. That's just me.
I know they are unusual so desirable, but I recently paid 300 from a local dealer for a mint older R9 in .177, with a Japanese Trophy 4-12 AO and a very heavy duty case. Paid 350 shipped for a beautiful .177 HW77k, an inexpensive case and 8 or 9 tins of good pellets from a knowledgeable private seller.
They are both in a different class than the ASP. Ann I really like mine. It's a fine rifle, just not a heirloom quality sort of thing.

Upwards of 800 to 1200 dollars, with some recently sellin on ebay.
I own 2 now both NIB. Scope wood stock etc.
The non heirloom quality is because of your plastic stock. The wood stock is 100 x better looking and feel.

Wow! I had no idea they had that kind of demand.
Knowing that, I would ignore my earlier value estimate.
But, Acapulco, I was referring to the general construction when I said "not heirloom quality".
It's not something that compares to a good german gun. And I prefer the plastic stock. It's rare that I do, but this is an exception.

Not entirely true. Sig representatives said as long as they have parts they will service them. If they don't
have the part your screwed. Owned a wood version in .22cal but once Sig dropped them I sold. In addition
to that I didn't care for the bulkyness of the stock in the forearm. Accuracy and power great ! Metal finish
scratched to easily IMHO.

Don't let the zero part thing scare u...stated above.
If you find one at a reasonable price...Buy it !!
With more and more firearm people entering this sport....price is only going to climb.

There have been perfectly good and accurate things said here about the ASP, but even so SIG has created some contradiction -
On one hand I called them about two years ago I called them to purchase a spare piston seal, cocking shoe (its unique) and gas ram, but they would not sell the parts to me (voids the warranty, doncha know....).
They would not say what parts they had, etc and basically stonewalled me about what kind of service might be available if I were to need it.
On the other hand, they report 20,000 cycles without issue on a test rifle with no signs of slowing down, and I have not heard of one owner with a mechanical problem.
I enjoy mine regularly and I will do so until it fails, or until I do. It is made and designed the opposite of the German guns I love so much, yet it is their equal in its own way.
Cocking effort for a 22 fpe rifle is so low that shooting 400 pellets in an afternoon sitting doesn't leave me feeling any different than cocking the first one (and I have done just that).
Eccuracy is excellent for any springer, never mind a Magnum level one. Love the stock. Trigger is better than many people believe IMO, but it's no Rekord. Much better than the nicely adjusted 3-ball sear in my Diana for example.
So, to me it really is a personal decision to buy one. Can you live with the parts (non) availability, etc? Does its tactical look turn you on or off? I'm a blue steel & walnut guy, but I love that stock design when I'm shooting it.
If you like an 8oz trigger, you will either have to live with the SIG's 2 lb trigger or work on an irreplaceable unit at your own risk. Etc, etc.
Mine was an impulse buy that I feel great about.
Just mounted a 16X Elite 6500 because it's lower and lighter than the one it replaced, and the tendency to "roll off" to the right during recoil appears to be gone. I don't have the $$$ to put such expensive scopes on any but my very best rifles, and this one made the cut.
