Has anyone heard anything on additional caliber molds coming from NOE? I'm still waiting on a .357 and a .30 cal.
I sent Al a note a little over a week ago and didn't hear anything back from him.

I'm getting anxious for the .22 hunter myself Loren !!! I liked doing the group buys myself ???

I would be happy to do any kind of buying ...lol There is just a bigger return on the mold investment with the larger calibers, although a .22 cal would be nice too.

Ok Guys
I am a little bit confused, so don't be surprised..............
I am just about ready to get the pellet mold, that Wayne shows in his photo's, the 217-24-RF mold.
and now you guys are talking about a 22 Hunter mold etc?
I have the funds in my hidden Rat Hole, just burning a hole, to spend it. LOL ;)
Is or are there 2 different molds, now?
I have not been able to figure out Noe's coding on these molds, just what everything means......etc.
The info on the site, just doesn't provide that much help to the unknowing,........IMHO,
such as, there is 4 pins/rods for different weights, on the 217-24-RF mold etc.
Can someone guide me down the right path? It would be greatly appreciated by this OF.........

Don the hunter is a shorter pellet than the magnum hunter, I really like the magnum hunters but also looking forward to the regular hunters because they're going to be a lighter pellet better for the less powerful guns.
-
The 217-24-RF is called the "Magnum Hunter".... there is a lighter one coming, the "Hunter", and also an even lighter "Target" wadcutter, just like in the .25 cal moulds from NOE....

Thanks,
Wayne and Bob for the info, I'll get the Mag Hunter first, to see how it goes.......... ;)

BTW, all the NOE pellet moulds are coming with four sets of the RG pins.... 3 hollow base of different depths, and one flat base.... a total of four weights possible.... They are included in the price of the RG moulds....

They're predicting light rain all day for Sunday and I think I'll put the longest pins back in my 250-27-RF mold because I've been shooting up a lot of my lightest pellets from that mold. I've got an Optivisor that I use for close inspection of the molds and through very close inspection I found a very small build-up of lead dust inside the cavities, it looks to me like every 1000 pellets cast using a 2 cavity it's going to be a good idea to thoroughly clean the molds entirely from now on. I did already clean everything thing on it after the last run but before I install the longest pins again I'm going to also inspect them closely because they too will get a small build-up of the lead dust on them as well.
A toothpick works good for getting the lead dust broken free to wash off in dish soap, rinsed then dried.

I have noticed some minor buildup in the molds and on pins and done the same cleaning methods.
Looks like no news on the larger caliber molds....bummer! This darn Winchester 70-35 I bought will only shoot diabalo pellets really well. Everthing else is just so, so and then a darn wild flyer. In for a penny in for a pound so off to Accurate to get their 36-094N pellet mold made and the base pins made by Erik at Hollowpointmold.com.
I did try this pellet from Rick M. and they did just as well as the JSB's in this rifle.

Loren I had remarkable results casting in the morning yesterday, out of 438 cast I only had 4 rejects. All of them were really close to what I expected to see in the light pellets from the 250-27-RF mold which is really close to 26 grains with very little variation at all.

Master of your own ammo domain!!! It is pretty...right???

Al just put the .30cal Hunter Pellet molds in the store.
I got mine!!! Did you get yours? 8)

I'm thinking that the .30 cal Hunter will be a winner for the casters, I know that my .25 Hunters are top notch from my NOE 250-27-RF mold.
-
I ordered the newest .30 cal. mold yesterday for the Hatsan 135. I've had good results with the .25 cal. in the marauder.
