I recently purchased a 135 Vortex QE .22 and received it a few days ago. I was shocked how easy it was to cock the barrel and kind of knew at that point something was wrong. This was confirmed when I shot it. It had about 25lbs if cocking force and was shooting in the neighborhood of 500FPS. Anyway, Hatsan customer service was very responsive and sent me a RMA right away. Service rep said it sounds like the Vortex piston leaked down and it looks like they are going to repair vs replace it. I’m fine with that, but was wondering what your experiences were with repaired rifles? My gut feeling tells me that repairing would be preferable vs. taking a chance on a new one. Do any of you know if they check other things while they have it apart to make sure it’s 100%, or if they just focus on just the repair? I’m really looking forward to getting it back. Thanks
