Yeah, that's me trying out the process. Any experienced hands at this, feel free to add to the comments, could be helpful to others.
You will be surprised by how often it works, especially with used guns in good shape.
Thanks Rich. I enjoy the YouTube stuff, but it's kind of a one-way street. This forum is more of a conversation, and there's lots of good info here and lots of helpful, experienced contributors. We can all add something to the body of airgun knowledge.I've been to just about everywhere in California, but never to 'Stalingrad'.
eeler1,I've read your posts here for a while and didn't know who you were. I referenced your your Northwest Airguns Blue Streak (Streak from Shell) "there's ways around the profanity censor"reseal video here almost a year ago, it really helped out, and my 63' reseal came out perfect.Thank you for sharing your knowledge and dry sense of humor with these videos. Great stuff!Rich
I have a Blue Streak that just yesterday isn't pumping correctly. Was shooting fine then when pumping after first pump you can feel the pressure pushing back on pump. I think the inlet valve must be hanging or dirty maybe? I can give it the one pump and it fires it fine but will not allow more than one pump as it is just re-compressing the same stroke. I have not had to rebuild this one yet and it was purchased in 1976 (ya I know, I'm old LOL). Think the "alcohol flush" would work on this?

Just did this on a Smith & Wesson Model 77A we have that has not pumped up at all since purchased. Thouhght I would give it a try just to see if I could clear things out while waiting for new seals and pump cup. I actually got it to fire last night after 3 rounds of adding alcohol, cocking first then pumping up to about 15 times for 5 attemps each of the 3 times time it cleared up, was holding air so gave it new oil and wow fires like our older but freshly resealed S&W Modle 77A. Decided to pump it up to the full maximum of 20 pumps and for 5 live fire rounds, it did not disappoint it sent each pellet through a 3/4 inch piece of sheetrock 30yards away. I am sold on giving this a try when an issue arises at this point.
