I have an older Sheridan Bluestreak (with rocker safety). It's in pieces now because I tried to fix it myself. Going to send it to Mac 1. Question: would a steroid version do any visible change to my Bluestreak? For example, I've seen some Steroids with a different bolt handle. I'd like to keep my air rifle looking as stock as possible. Also, would a red dot sight work on a Bluestreak? I mounted a scope before it wouldn't pump anymore and she was very accurate but it made pumping very awkward and difficult.
Al, in your "before" picture, what was the purpose of the orange tie downs?

I'm still waiting to get my Silver Streak back from Tim @ Mac1 hopefully I'll hear something in the next couple of weeks. I gave it to him in the middle of Aug.
I'm sure you know, but .20 cal. is a little more expensive to shoot with much less pellet selection. Also the 392/397 have a cartridge valve that is easy to remove by the shooter without special tools. Neither of these is a deal killer, and you will find that the streak just has a different, more refined "feel" than the Benjamins. I have not touched a new 392/397, but considering where they come from now, I would bet they are , well, somewhat lacking in overall quality compare4d to an older model. tk
Mine is a Bnejamin-Sheridan .20 and this scope set-up works very well. Notice how low it is. A Weaver K4 Scout.
