Hi, I recently read elsewhere that there was a Gun Show for Airguns in Arkansas. I am new to Airguns and been wanting to buy something but I have not found much at the Gun Shows for powder burners that come to Houston. Does anyone know if there are any show that are primarily for airguns down here along the Gulf Coast? Thanks, Glen

They had one up around Dallas about a month ago. It was the first one I've seen in Texas.

Thanks for the reply, I did hear about that show but missed it by a week. I have decided to start shooting airguns but the new prices are a little above what I can spend and the used gun I have found on the net where almost as much as the new gun prices. I been thinking about just going to Wally World and buying what they have but I sure don't want to. Thanks Glen

Look at http://flyingdragonairrifles.org/. (http://flyingdragonairrifles.org/.) You can not go wrong with a Mike Melick tuned rifle.

I know it's a while but they are having one in August in Parker County...
It's the Parker County Sportsman Club... I've never been, but a friend at work is a member and was telling me about the air gun show they had... He was impressed with all of the item and venders they had...
I'm planning on going this year...

Oh, and as it gets closer I'll post better directions... Dale told me the directions on the club website were not the easiest or best way to get there...

Most of us end up ordering online because local selection is so limited and gun shows even more so.

Just checked web site for the Parker Sportsman. The Air Gun show is August 22 9am - 3pm
sorry not allowed to post the link

+1 on the suggestion of buying from Flying Dragon. You'll be leaps and bounds ahead of anyting you can get at WallyWorld, and at better prices too.
Call first and talk to Mike. He will take the time to help you detirme which rifle will best suit your needs, and his customer servive is the best.

Just happened to look at the Club website... The show is now listed as being on Saturday Aug 29th...

I'm 2 hours away and want to see and handle some higher end PCPs. Will this be the place? Good deals?

for all the new members,
if you guys are not already on the members map, YOU SHOULD BE.
there are probably more folks in your areas that shoot AG's but are not yet on the map.
Go to the map and place your marker using the Additions Tab,.... EVEN IF YOU DO NOT SEE SOMEBODY ALREADY IN YOUR AREA.
Use your GTA Screen Name.
What happens often is, a new member will look at the map, and not find somebody in their area, so they end up just leaving the map without placing their own marker.
Well guess what, if 10 people within 50 miles of you do that, you'll never know each other was there.
SOooooo,.... get on the map, and hoprfully others in your area's will follow suit ! ;D
pretty soon, you could start having your own group of GTA member shooting buddies.

The airgun show is this saturday august 29th... American Airgunner has a video up about the show on you tube... Looks like it's a pretty big deal with a lot of venders and factory reps there... A friend and I are planning on attending... We'll be there early...
Hope to see yall there...

And the big Fort Worth gun show is going on this weekend too... Depending on how long we're out in Poolville we are planning on stopping by that show on the way home...

Well, who made it out to the show and what did yall think???
It wasn't quite as big as I thought it would be but I did enjoy it... I was wanting to handle one of Air Arms TX200s but the only one I saw was a highly modified one... I did talk to a couple of people who were pretty informative... The Air Force demos were cool and if they do them again next year I plan on going and trying one out... I didn't want to be tempted this year... Not having a PCP I didn't realize how loud they were... I did get one of the mega boom targets... Looks interesting...
