possible Issues with modified crosman 1377 valve

I am in the processes of modifying my 1377 and I am buying parts as I can afford them. I recently bought a modified valve and transfer port. The valve has the port angled to about 25 degrees and nothing else is done. However the valve angle porting is off center and is not smoothed out, It looks like an 8. Is that going to effect performance a lot? Dose not seem good to me but I have not messed with any other modified valves.
I figure knowing what I am building it for may help in determining if the valve will do what I want. My goal for it is a pistol for indoor target shooting that I can plink cans with when visiting my parents, and that can handle small pest control or close range small game if needed. I am using the stock .177 barrel since the machining is good, it shoots well and I want to keep it a pistol. I am trying to keep the cost low so I did not go with a flat top setup. Porting a valve is not something I can do myself, I do not have the tools or steady enough hands.

Anything angled forward will help, off center that much shouldn't matter...

You can "clock" the port hole and the frame screw holes. Clocking means getting them 180 degrees apart from each other. Thread a long proper size screw in the bottom and get a good friction hold on the back half (DO NOT USE PLIERS). Turn the back half until the holes are lined up correctly. The front and back halves do not need to be totally tight to each other, but almost. The o-ring inside at that joint should still seal it up.

After some thought I smoothed out the area that looked like a figure 8 with a half round jewelers file and opened up the one side of the angled port a little bit that was closer to the valve stem. I cleaned up the file marks with a small fine stone polishing wheel with some green compound on it. It is not perfect but it is much smoother and I think it will flow just fine.
