Hey folks,How many of you Regal XL users are satisfied with the included moderator with the Daystate Regal XL? I am ordering a new Regal and I am wondering if the Huggett Moderator ( $400 from AoA ) is worth having. I am being told that they will not sell a moderator separately AFTER I buy and receive the gun, but I am not yet ready to buy the Huggett until I poll the troops. I understand the Regal with included DS moderator is quiet, but wondering if I need the extra quiet from the Huggett? Can you let me know if there is a 'very noticeable' difference in sound noise with the Huggett vs. not? For context, my neighbors are about 20-30 feet on each side of the house and I am shooting out into backyard and woods behind. Really don't want to spend the $400 if I have to either. Also, I am thinking I can try it with the DS moderator and then order a Huggett from somewhere ( not AoA ) and install myself. Thoughts on that approach too would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.Tom
I put a DonnFL on my Daystate Huntsman Regal and I don't how you could make it any more quiet than it is now. Donny makes great moderators. I bought the Sumo and love it. He has a shorter one out now and i'll probably be getting it soon. I think the shorter ones look best on the Regals and the pistols. I hear the short one is as quiet as the big Sumo I bought from him. You will not find a nicer and more helpful seller on the internet. He usually ships same day. The Tatsu is 1.6x4.25 and I hear it is very quiet.
I used a cheap hot air gun to remove it. The DonnyFL will screw to the Daystate Regal without having to get an adapter. It is mousefart quiet with the DonnFL.
