Daisy 99 Value?
«
on:

Found a Daisy 99 locally for $40. Has peep rear and globe type front sights with a leather sling. Owner said it shoots fine. Very nice condition except for a lot of wear on the sides of the lever.
Is it worth the asking price?

I would guess so if it’s in nice shape. I have two, but one is my dad’s and the other is my great-grandfather’s.... so I’ve Never bothered to check their value. But I honestly love them and I would say that $40 is a fair deal for one.

$40 for a good shooting D 99 is a deal. Fun and accurate BB rifle.

The little plinker came home with me yesterday. It was in better condition than I remembered. The leather sling looks like it was just removed from the box. Set up a target at 7 yards, removed the spider nest from the front sight and she was dead on. 200 or so rounds fired without a hiccup.
I'm guessing it is one of the newest versions.

From the reg. # I'm guessing it was made in early 1979. You got a deal. I prefer the small ring shaped front sight reticle. The D 99 was originally sold with an assortment of posts and rings that can be swapped out of the front shroud.
