Also, it seems a lot have sanded the epoxyed piston down flat. Why is that? if filling the slot is to lessen head space would'nt you want to leave it with extra epoxy on it or intentionally raise or dome it with the epoxy?
I then took a small piece of surgical tubing slicked up with oil to shape it to the countour I wanted.
OK, you talked me into adding the washer. Might as well while its apart. I am assuming removing the roll pin will dissasemble the piston parts. What does reducing the "springyness" in the bumber accomplish?
Amazing! seems like a totally different gun and really hits with authority. As for the trigger. I found some lube in the box I bought in the past I never used called Tetra. I had it in both grease and oil. I used the oil on the trigger to sear contact and the grease at all other points of friction. Totally worth doing these mods listed and super easy. Gotta go spend some time with the family now. Ill look to see how it panned out in accuracy tomorrow or soon after.
If you want big power, you have to get rid of the rubber bumper. It's a power limiter safety device for kids who don't know better.
The piston/abutement was sanded for clearance. (current production gun) Then it's just like any other flat top.Stock: 694 fps 10 pumpsPiston washersand slightly longer: 773 fps 10 pumps
