My TF 99 .177 broke its spring after a really short while. It was just out of the 30 day warranty. Of course the spring costs almost a fourth of the price of the gun after you pay for shipping.
I tried to put it in and actually got the spring placed in the gun. However, I must have messed up something in the trigger group and it wouldn't hold.
Shadow offered to help with the spring replacement. Some how, I lost the safety on it before I boxed it up! So again a call to Compasseco to send the safety and spring to Ed.
After all of the mess, Ed fixed it for me. There was a little glitch with the safety, but it turned out to be the pin was a little long so I filed it off and put some moly paste on it to keep it from catching. It is shooting like a dream now! He spent some time smoothing it out and working on the trigger parts.
As usual I start with a hundred dollar gun and end up spending twice as much on it to make it work the way it is supposed to work.
Right now it is a keeper!

This post strikes me as funny...
I would get tunes in that came in small boxes...
The customer would take them appart and either lose half the small stuff or just decide they wanted someone else to put her back together for them...
Not a problem tuning these guns but when parts were lost or broken by client it became a real burden..
Especially if it were a Gamo. You just cannot find allot of spare parts for them unless you buy up older used Gamo's and use them as a parts source... The worst would be a gun that was out of production and parts were almost impossible to find..
Way to go Ed...

Well I thought all the parts were there except for one pin I must have dropped the safety when I was putting it in the box somewhere.
Anyway Compasseco was able to find a new safety. That spring was REALLY heavy to compress! For a gun that isn't a magnum springer its spring was very long and hard to compress.
