Barrel-bending the XS-B25?

My Leapers mount, ordered from Pyramyd Air, arrived last Thursday evening.
And . . . it won't fit the XS-B25. Dang.
I didn't even consider it when ordering, but the Xisico copy's dovetails are cut into the tube. It doesn't have the rail on top of the tube like the RWS originals (see below).
Whoops. So, it looks like I might be bending my barrel after all.
So to you guys who recommended this course in the first place, what do I do?
Thanks!

You could call PA and ask to return your Leapers mount and exchange it for this one

That is what I would do! PA will usually do that for you.

All you need to get the barrel right is a vise, clamp it in between wood blocks and pull it in the direction it needs to go. They are mild steel so go easy.......

cole5169. I have had to straighten 2 AG barrels. One on a Crosman, One on a B-26. And while they may be classified as " mild steel", they are pretty darn stout. Not exactly easy to bend and it is a slow process to do it right and not over correct . It required alot of checking on my part for levelness. Plus I assembled and re-assembled the AG many times checking for accuracy. But it worked. Eventually.
Soooooo.....returning the mount may be the easier solution.

you can remove the front sight and use a cheater pipe. that will give you more leverage and works just fine. pad your contact point with a thick piece of leather. i find and prefer this to adding all the extra hardware. and this is just to add to what mike said. ive done this a few times with great results

Thanks for the advice everyone
Paul, I haven't heard anyone say "cheater pipe" since my early Army days, breaking track on M1 tanks! My fellow recruits and I all thought it was called a
Cheetah Pipe
back then
