Chrony out of the box:
Took the 30 apart this afternoon. (Chinese clone of the RWS/Diana 48 )
This disassemble guide was a great help for stripping the rifle
http://air_guns.tripod.com/disassemble_b21.htm
Used my home made spring compressor for the first time: no preload
Seal is perfect, no de-burring needed.
Gave the internals a good clean, inserted 2 thin slip washers into the piston and a washer on the spring guide, flattened and polished the spring ends, re-lubed and re-assembled the 30 again.
Did use a hex-key to undo and tighten the pivot base screw of the cocking arm, don't think it would be possible to tighten it propperly with a screw driver as mentioned in the disassemble guide.
Everything went smooth and without problems. Closing the rifle took one finger and one thumb since there is a bit of preload now, just a bit.
Rifle cocks and fires even better than before.
The trigger: before buying the 30 I read a lot about it being harsh but it isn't that bad. Think people should shoot more and complain & write less instantly after taking it out of the box since it needs a bit of time to let the triggerparts mate and the shooter get used to the trigger. It will never be a match trigger but it isn't a match rifle.
Allthough I have a full power replacement spring and no power limit in the Netherlands I'm keeping that one as a spare.
This post will be updated with a 11 yard accuracy test both supported and standing / unsupported (which will confirm if the trigger is bad or not).
Another update will be a few pictures and after that a video.
First things first, clean up the mess I made in my shop and clean the rifle *grin*
Chrony results this afternoon after tweaking, first 40 shots un-recorded:

Thanks!
Tested accuracy yesterday, it's to heavy for me to shoot accurately without support.
When using a bag accuracy is kind of ok but slightly worse than the lighter Chinese rifles I own.
Maybe I should take the triggerunit apart, de-burr and polish.
Anyway at 11 yards, 10 shots, standing, no support, aiming below the poi to compensate the pull:
Sitting, bag on the table, again 10 shots at 11 yards:
Made a few pics last Saturday and made this video:
Hope you all will like it

Brutuz, your you-tube videos are something else!!! Always enjoyable and professional looking. One thing you said in the first post that really rang a world of truth with most brands of rifles,....the triggers. Yes it is easy to belly-ache and complain about alot of triggers out of the box. But if folks would just shoot them and like you said,..." let the surfaces mate with each other" for a while, then they would understand how important the break in process really is. It's not just for the power-plant and the barrel, but the whole rifle itself!!! Once the trigger gets some work, a simple cleanning, polishing, and lubeing makes even poor trigger so much better!! Again, thanks for the super vids, and I always look forward to the next ones!! tjk
