I've spent a number of hours trying to do my own homework with not much success. Here's my questions:1. Is the GRT4G the correct trigger for the Urban? I think it's made for break barrel guns but does it work on the Urban.2. Are there any disassembly instructions available for the Urban trigger? Specifically how do you remove the trigger assembly from the action? Any special tools needed?
Yes the GRT 4 Trigger fits the Urban, I have one in mine and it works well, increases accuracy, much better all round gun with the GRT 4
2).Turn the barrel upside down and lay flat on a table, to the side of the trigger at the end of the trigger housing is a small hole, place a long allen key into it and remove this bolt, turn over and remove two top screws just to the left of the magazine clip port, this
The trigger is lighter but not by a huge amount, the difference is the trigger has a very solid feel and the break is crisper, it is fully adjustable....On the CDT GRT 4 trigger It is easier to remove and replace trigger and a lot easier to work on when out...If you have to do it:1).Remove Stock 2 screws2).Turn the barrel upside down and lay flat on a table, to the side of the trigger at the end of the trigger housing is a small hole, place a long allen key into it and remove this bolt, turn over and remove two top screws just to the left of the magazine clip port, this will remove the top section - watch ball and spring as well as small pin, remove these and place to the side.3). Trigger unit will slide outNote you will have to make a small holding pin, as the current trigger has this pin molded as part of the plastic (built into it), this can be made from cutting a small flat part of a drill bit and inserting...
I don't really have a problem with my stock Urban trigger. A bad trigger instantly attracts my attention. That hasn't been the case with my Urban. I do have the CDT trigger in the FireCat (chopped GAMO Silent Cat). I may pop it out and try it in the Urban. If the difference is significant I'll order another for the FireCat.Thanks for the thread.
I haven't done anything yet but when I do it will be a grub screw with no head. I may even grab a CDT trigger if for no other reason, to support a great lady and to keep some GTA history alive.
