Very nice. Wiring diagram?
Thanks. I got the idea over here:http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/thread/1312148525/Poor+Man%27s+Electronic+Chronographhttp://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/thread/1312722077/New+Updated+2-0+Version+of+Poor+Man%27s+ChronoOne thing to note is the led's have polarity. The clear top IR led's have a longer leg which is positive. The black phototransistors on the bottom have a flat spot on one side which is the negative. I ran it on 200ma. Not much difference from the 150ma. The Soft Chrono program they recommended didn't work for me. Seems like too much noise in the line gets false triggers. I like audacity. I'd rather measure it myself anyway. I just need a resistor now so I can get the voltage right. Its between 1.86-2.0 volts. I was going to run it on 2 AA batteries in series. Check for heat on the led legs. I bought the led's on ebay. They didn't have a spec sheet. The price was right though.
