I have a hatsan at44-10 which for some reason has lost power. ( can't identify why ) In my investigation I shaped out my full size transfer port for one about half the size and saw a near 300fps increase in speed.
Far as I know that shouldn't be the case. Anyone care to educate me a little?
You may get lucky and solve the issue with just a drop of silicone oil in the foster fitting so that the oring inside the check valve gets some lube. It is worth a try before you go disassembling.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!lhave and old RWS45 that I would like to keep going! lately it’s not holding wen cocking , it won’t catch. I replaced the old spring, it was broken in 3 pieces! Before replacing it it did the same thing for a couple of times I thought it’ll be ok after replacing the spring but it was not the case, the piston is showing some were but I haven’t been able to find one so far. Any ideas It’ll be appreciated. Thanks!
