This would be a 1975-1977 " 3rd variant " and should be dated in the first 3-4 digits in the serial number. This will confirm the date since they often used found leftover parts at later dates. They made so many of the 760's, and it's not the really desirable " first variant " so unless it happens to have a rifled barrel as they sometimes did I would not pay more than 75$ for a non first variant.

On second thought I just assumed it was rifled since it can shoot pellets....but I dont know a thing about the guns....I dont have $80 to invest in the gun, but would like to help her out as she is trying to downsize ...most likely gun will go back in the closet and be part of estate sale...she has already given several guns to family members ( which is a good thing I guess...) thanks again
She gave me the gun today and and I told her I couldn’t accept unless she took $20....and if I resold the gun would share any difference.....unless the serial # is under the warning sticker(not gonna peel it off) in front of trigger , cant find it...groups ok at 10mm but needs sights tweaked...to be on money...thanks for repliesHave a small period correct scope may put it on just for grins...
