The experts will be along shortly
I've run at least 2000 pellets, maybe 3000, through my 880 that I bought new. I'm enjoying some decent accuracy. But, I am developing a problem. The 880, has a lip on the pump arm, where it meets up with, what looks like a post with a small spring around it. This is to hold the pump arm in place in the closed position when the gun is pumped up. Mine isn't holding well any more. I cut back to using just 6 pumps from the 8 I was using, as it seems the more pumps, the bigger chance it's not going to hold the arm in place. When it comes loose, it has a pretty good kick too. Will have to replace both the pump arm and the spring? Is there anything else I might try to help this problem. My other multi pumpers, Crosman 1377, 1322, 760, 66 never give ma a problem like this. My Umarex APX NPG hasn't been fired enough, but it may have a similar system. Replacing the arm probably is pretty easy, but the spring I bet requires splitting the receiver apart? Anyway, thanks for ant comments and suggestions.
