Got the 1st coat of paint on things, and while it's drying, I went upstairs to measure-out (after getting permission to add a temporary makeshift AR range there) the "lane". Nothing but empty cubicles which are acoustically helpful in absorbing sound. Isle is 40" wide, and the only access to it is from where I'll be shooting from, so no chance of anyone walking into the lane, which there's no one in the entire section of the building anyway. It somewhat dark, but the entire wall on the right is glass and the blinds are closed. That said, I'm planning to use DC powered LEDs above the chrono. The darker brown looking area at the end of the isle is 4 of the panel walls stacked with 1.5" of wood between them. There's still room on the other side if I'd ever need more distance.A nice bench was just a matter of sliding one from the closest cubicle to the 40 yard mark. I'll still use my portable for closer distances, plus I want to be sure it will do what I need it to do, but the large desk pictured will be rock solid for getting the scope(s) dialed-in as accurate as possibly. I measured and marked the floor and walls with masking tape and a marker in 5 yard increments, so no guessing on distance Also started a reactive target the other day, made from some 5/16" rod I had, I just need to weld on some flat washers and paint it up. Again, due to space, it knocks apart and stores flat, so it will also fit into the milk crate for transportation, takes 30 seconds to set-up. The vertical legs lean forward, so (hopefully) when a target is hit, it spins 180* and leans against the top horizontal bar, so it can be shot back to a down position. If I get to be just such a sharpshooter that I need more range length, I could double what I'm starting with....like that's gonna be needed, lol! I'll add more pics of the setup (when I'm actually shooting) in a few days once I get everything done, and my orders are delivered. Just go easy on me when I post target pics
