I have been wanting to shoot in this contest for a while, but was waiting on finishing my rifle. It's not finished, but it's shooting....

For the sake of curiosity, does the 1/2" bull center actually measure 1/2" for everyone else?
Mine print out at .45".
Is there a special way to print them so the are correct?

Hello michaelthomas,
We have had a member just recently having the same problem. What you need to do is when you are preparing to print you select under Page Handling set Page Scaling to "None" in the drop down menu.
Your target should print out to the dimensions listed at the bottom of the target.
Any more problems just be sure to let me know. Personally, I think your bulls need to print out at about .25"! lol

You are most welcome Mike. I think I might include some instructions on how to set up the printer so that the targets will be the right size. That should help I think.

That's a great idea.......I have been shooting all of my match targets 10-15% small.....lol.
I suspect that I am not the only one, too.

I had 4 hours of uninterrupted shooting today. Haven't shot that much in months. I think the TX is settling down a bit more. Didn't think that was possible. Spent a lot of time playing with my hold. Think I found a couple of small things. Best score ever by one.

Thanks Brett, sorry to say that my German guns hardly get shot any more. Thought I had a 200 score until I went down range, and found out I shot one of the bulls twice.

What's the standard procedure on scoring .22's?
I figured they would score from their center like they were .177.
Looking at Stu's target, I would count at least 4 more X's.

Stu is an old hand at this michaelthomas and scored his target as he saw fit to do. Sometimes the target in hand looks a bit different than the image posted. Many folks use the Eagle Eye gauge for scoring given the trouble of scoring domed pellet hits.
Both .177 and .22 are scored the same.

I wasn't intending to critique his scoring ability, but understand better for myself. I apologize if I came across as offensive. I'm not super confident in my scoring ability with the domes, so after seeing his target and noting that I would have scored it differently......it made me wonder if I was doing something wrong.
I need to get one of those scoring tools.
I have been placing a pellet in the hole and trying to get it as perpendicular to the target as possible to judge the edge.
The link you provided alluded to matches being scored as .22 or .177......hence the use of the eagle eye tool for crossover.
Is this match supposed to be scored as a .177 or .22? You said both were scored the same......and I guess I'm still not getting it.

Hello Michaelthomas,
.177 shooters have the advantage of keeping the whole hole of their shot inside the bull over .22 shooters trying to do the same thing. However, both calibers are allowed and the same rules of scoring apply to both.
I hope that explains it.
Didn't mean to seem harsh in any way before.
