Some people never get used to the movement of a springer, so they say they are no good. Some springers need work to shoot best and some think no new gun should need work. So they say they are no good. Some believe that only expensive guns are any good. They are snobs. Some are quite reasonable and offer help, even though they don't like them for whatever reason. These are the good ones. But there is nothing quite like shooting a 1/2" group at forty yards with a $200, 20 fpe springer!!! I really like mine!Shoot, load, shoot. All day long. No support equipment, no pumping, just shoot, load, shoot. To me it's the best. CO2 is great, PCPs are great, pumpers are great. So are springers.
You could add gas piston's into the mix... Everyone is talking about springers, pumpers, and PCP. Gas piston is a whole different animal in my opinion...
I have pcps, converted HPAs, break barrels, sidecocker, CO2s, pumpers and are all home tuned from tips and ideas from this forum and some. I enjoy shooting them and can stack pellets, just need to put a sticker on which pellet it shoot good. When i don't mind mechanical noise I use my springers, when i want quiet shooting I use my non-springers. I love to tinker on my lead slingers. I must be this messed up because back in the 70's the best way to carry your pellet was in the mouth...
