Hi!Just got an Akela today, it’s a beautiful gun. Some gripes/wierd things:1. The power adjuster didn’t turn until I used needle nose pliers as leverage.2. If the stock screw is tightened too tight, it affects the trigger pull. As in the pellet doesn’t fire.3. After shooting a magazine, the trigger pull changed. The gun wouldn’t fire on the first squeeze, I had to squeeze the trigger a second time to fire the gun (first pull felt like a primer). It works fine now, see point 2.Gun is quiet, fussy a bit about pellets. Why can’t things work like they should right out of the box?The power adjuster requiring needle nose pliers is bugging me. I have all weekend to play around, I will test it more.Thank you letting me rant.
Well good luck….fine choice…..close as I could get to a bullpup was a beeman underlever….22 1358…lol
Where did you buy from? Could it be a refurb?I’ve only had issues with the hammer spring length and 1st pellet in the mag might be a flyer due to spring tension deforming the pellet. The trigger has been exceptional, especially considering it’s a linkage. If yours is .177, be careful that pellets can actually make their way backwards in front of the probe and get into the bolt action if you tip the gun up while cycling. However, mine shoots nickel sized groups at 50 yards consistently, looks great, and handles great. JMJinNC .
I will take a look at the screw to adjust the power knob or will just call Crosman. But second day of shooting, for a loss of 1500 psi, I got through 4 and a half magazines of JSB Monsters 13.4 grain. Had the best groupings when I sighted in at 20 yards with 10x mag. Trigger still needs adjusting and I saw video where a guy put a small piece of foam under the trigger rod. Going to put a piece of foam under the pic rail for the scope as well. Thanks!
I’ve been shooting mine without a barrel band or any additional scope rail fixation. I’m zeroed at 30 yards, and regularly get dime sized groups at that distance. Shooting JSB exact heavies and monsters. I prefer a floating barrel, and I feel the scope rail is plenty stiff, even with my long scope and cantilever mount. I added an adjustable buttpad to get a better fit, but that’s it. JMJinNC

His barrel band tri rail is a great addition, and he also has a very nice scope rail stabilizer for cheap. Just got one for mine to replace another one I have that works, just doesn't look as streamlined as the BR.
