Good/bad idea daisy model 25 front sight

Im thinking of taking a small finishing nail and opening up the front sight just enough to slip a piece of fiber optic in it….anybody care to comment..

I made a little brass bead insert for my model 25, I just had to make the shank thin enough to fit in the existing gap.


You could probably just use a stick pin.

I just remembered that I also opened up the aperture a bit because It was too small for me before.

That combined with the brass bead front has been great, in a more accurate gun this combination could be a real tack driver.
It's a great improvement to this smooth bore BB gun regardless.

Thanks….good ideas….I just put 1999 fiber optics on my ARR”s…helped me some…but guns are only good to about 20-25 feet…then their all over the place…my model 25 is my go to BB gun…it will reach out there….if my mom were alive she would have just the right stick pin….lol

I went with the push pins.
Then I shot a magazine of 50 from 10 yards..
I like it a lot..It is yellow..

    Thanks guys…I improvised….took a sliver of orange trimmer line…stuck it on the end of a insulin needle…clipped it …put just enough Elmer’s to not cause future trouble….slipped right in…..works fine till I get something better….
