Nice work! Dude do yourself a favor and buy a minilathe, it will make things much more fun to build, and you can make valves and stuff easily. Marko
Marko , he has a lathe , but no mill.. I think the lathe is shown on the first page. As for the mill bigbird,. my bucket of concrete idea might come in handy for a rigid but simple mill.

You would just use a bench top drill and sink the frame and a milling table in it? How do you Z (vertical adjustment)?
id probably just adjust the quill for z adjust. then , with the upright post ( column ) being buried in concrete , it would be far more rigid than it was as a drill press which would offset that quill stickout quite a bit.. *(&^ id prob add some bedframe outriggers to the head since it wont be going up and down anyway..theres just not much to lose, BUT a lot to gain like reduced resonace , rigidity , and a table that can truly be locked in either axis now im studying the harbor freight drill press for the simplest way to do it (-;

Sorry.Well milling attachment then for the lathe. Helps a bunch in slot milling, and wont cost much. Awesome project no matter what tools are used. Marko
i think the oblong holes in paintball triggers are for semi auto guns.. but any sear will work ..
