I know that some of my brothers and sisters on the forum know that last July 2021my wife of 21 years wanted to be single again. We reached an amicable agreement and I moved out and on. I have relocated to Mesa AZ and settled into an over 55 RV park. Since my arrival in late December 2021, I purchased a new to me 2002 Electra Glide Classic and traded my 30 ft RV for a 37ft fifth wheel Forest River Cedar Creek Silverback. In Feb 2022 I met my new best friend, Peggy she loves to fish (baits her own hooks) also a great shot. My life has turned around for the better in just under a year.

That is great news.

Thanks, guys I consider myself very fortunate with how my life is getting back together.
This weekend I'm planning to sight in my Brocock .25 sniper sighted in at 50 yards I will post my first impressions of the rifle. If all goes well I will try pesting once the fall gets here with the cooler weather (under 100* f ) ::) ;D

Just had to ask ::)

No boat but she does have a Jeep Willys four-door and loves to fish, shoot, hunt and tent camp

Well it sure sounds like the sun has risen, and it's going to be a beautiful day!
Congratulations on making it over the hump!
-
Don, good things eventually come around to good people.
Does she clean fish too?
-
Good to hear you’re doing well, Don!
-
Yes and she also dresses out her own game. ;D ;D
-
Yeah, I dated several girls in college. I took one to the lake to go out in a boat, did some fishing. When we got back, I handed her the stringer of fish as I was still unloading gear. To my surprise she had gutted and scaled those fish and had them in the frying pan.
We've been married 42 years now.
Watch out now!

I picked up a 14 ft inflatable with all the trimmings including an electric trolling motor. It packs up small enough to toss in the back of the F150 along with our camping gear, so once we are all settled into the 37ft fifth wheel we are planning a trip to the mountains to escape the heat here in the valley. the pups will go with us since we are planning on 2 weeks for our first extended camping trip.

Outstanding Don!
Great to see you here again.
-
How's our ole buddy Ron doing?
From what I've heard, ... He's doin' alright, just workin' his butt off (on night shift) !
Seems I heard somewhere, he just bought another bike too ;)
Don and I have ridden together several times. Seen some pretty cool/fun places .
I'll let him tell you about the World's Greatest Chili, ....
...After a GORGEOUS, Very Scenic, 15 mile ride with 147 turns !
Very fun Day Ride, about 60-70 miles round trip.

Well here's another,

My buddy Ron bought a very clean 2007 Harley Electra Glide Classic with amazingly low miles. The ride to Tortilla Flat is a beautiful morning ride with a great chili lunch waiting for you when you get there. There is a beautiful reservoir lake just before you get to Tortilla Flat. The town population of 12 year-round residents. Back in its heyday, it was a stagecoach station along the Apache Trail. According to legend, the Lost Dutchman mine is located somewhere nearby in the Superstition Mountains. Where I live in Mesa is very central to tons of wilderness of both mountains and desert with many ghost towns and abandoned mines. I have been busy since February between upgrading to a 37ft fifth-wheel trailer to meeting a very sweet and loving lady. My life has certainly seen both highs and lows in the last 12 months but I would have never met Peggy if I hadn't relocated here to Arizona.
-
Don, sounds like you're in a good place, both figuratively and literally. Just confirms you should never be afraid to walk through a door when it opens and you're looking for a change.
-
Peter the change was forced on me and after the initial shock wore off I decided that the best way for me to start over was a complete break from my past life and relocation as far away from the source of my rebirth was necessary. MY first couple of months here in Mesa were interesting but busy organizing and settling into my new environment. I dated a few women but nothing fit so I focused on exploring my amazing new home state.
Shortly after arriving, I bought an inexpensive 2002 Electra Glide Classic to ride and started checking the surrounding area for interesting clubs to meet new friends (women ;D ) So far Arizona has been very good to me. Next week my sweetheart and I are going into the desert near Queen Creek to shoot some pellet rifles and my new Henery Golden Boy .22 I will post my first impressions on the Brocock Sniper .25 that I won at the EBR last October

Well life for me remains very busy and unfortunately, my 75-year-old left knee decided that I needed a new challenge. This Thursday, Aug. 4 I will be going into surgery for a new left knee, with luck it will only be a partial replacement of the inner knuckle of the thigh bone. Depending on what the surgeon finds it could end up being a total knee replacement so I guess I,ll find out when I wake up just how extensive a repair was required. My recovery will probably be anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks. I'll post again later this week after the drugs wear off ;D
-
Don, I wish you good luck during the surgery and a speedy recovery. I will be sending prayers.
On the bright side, the bionic knee should be better than the old stuff.
-
Do, I’m praying all goes well and you heal quickly.
-
Speedy recovery Don!
-
I'll be praying for you. Good luck during the surgery and a speedy recovery. Take care, and afterwards do all the physical therapist tells you. You'll be fine.
-
Yes prayers Don, Like Dan said the PT is all important.
-
Mom loved her knee replacement so much that, as soon as she healed she had the other one done.
-
Good Luck Don,
Prayers said and will be said for your fast recovery.
-
Good luck Don and prayers be with you.
Bob
-
I'd ask for the part removed so I could take it home.
;D
Good Luck and best wishes Mate!
-
Why? Is there a knee fairy?
-
Jeff, it ain't like 'pop' bottles.
You don't return it for the deposit.
-
Bone Collector
-
Are you kidding me? (Well of course you are!)
;D
I'd take my old knees home because they took me SOOOO many places in life.
From my first crawling across a floor (And other same feats later in life), to jumping into Foreign Countries, held me as I Proposed, and as I weeped, (more then once for both past 2 listed ocassions).
As I did make a living doing Flooring? They provided the MAIN thing I needed to make a living.
So yeah! I'd take them home!
Not that I would put them on the Fire place mantle but then maybe I would.
-
Thanks, guys your good wishes and prayers are greatly appreciated. I really don't like being unconscious and at the mercy of someone else. :D ::)

Don get to feeling better we don't need you all holed up.
-
The doctor said 3 to 6 weeks and I should be able to ride the Harley again.

Reminds me of a date once a long time ago.
Was it hard to wake her back up?

No I just chewed my arm off to get it out from under her.
