So I decided about a week and a half ago to send my Hatsan Flash to the famed John in PA needing a seal job done and asked for him to do her up properly while he had her apart. I must say he doesn't disappoint to say the least. As day light was starting to wane when I got home from work I rifled through the box that was left at my door, like a kid on Christmas mornin. I slapped the bipod on and set up at just 25 yards, as like I said daylight was getting at a premium. So first shot with cross hairs parting the orange diamond the first shot breaks off with a near perfect trigger comparable to a well tuned Colt SAA trigger and lands slightly low and left the next 4 15.89 JSB Exacts follow suit right in what looks like just 2 pellets. I would have thought it was just 2 pellets that landed if the yellow didnt get brighter and I could see with each shot some more tear in the paper. I have attached my 25 yard group and will post longer range groups with varying pellets. His Chrony test showed an ES of just 16 fps for 30 shots, and thats out of an unregulated 165cc reservoir. For a $300 rifle I am tickled silly. Not to mention the insanely fast turn around time, talking with me about the process of what he was doing and reporting back to me with the results, plus his pricing is very reasonable especially for the quality of workmanship. Thank you John in PA.

I guess if I was reall wanting to get it any tighter I would weigh out and sort the pellets. But alas this is a hunting rifle not a target gun. Maybe if I am bored one day I shall do such for longer range work. Of note was how well this rifle was shooting the h&n 30 grn piledrivers before I sent it off. I will have to re visit them come Thursday evening. An odd one is before the tune it liked h&n barracuda match 21.14 5.52 head size. Johns testing revealed otherwise after the tune up. Though this group wouldn't have been achieved before the tune with any pellet and conversly it didn't shoot the JSB 15.89 exacts well at that time either, it did a 180 on pellet selection.
