We knew the steaks weren't all that great so we opted for a burger and fries. I was completely impressed with the burger..... until the check came.... $35 including tip... for a couple burgers, fries and slaw... I even had water to drink. Betty Lou had "Dew".

My brother just came back from Portugal, and sent my family a care package. Portugal favors seafood, so he grabbed me some canned sardines and mackerel. I'd never tried canned mackerel before so looking forward to it. Also interesting to find out the flavor difference, if any, of Portuguese canned sardines compared to the American market brands.

I usually just eat pieces of them on crackers, are there any other ways used them besides on eggs?
Bread!I've tossed them in a salad with a balsamic vinegrette dressing. I liked it.

Tonight's BookClub gal showed up already.AUTHENTIC MEXICAN!Soft Tacos, Hard Tacos, complete with sauce, shredded cheese, sour cream, red onion... Jalapeno Roll-ups, Cheese & bacon Quesadillas, huge pan of Chicken Enchiladas, home made Tamales in the corn husk... and for desert, Champagne Cupcakes. Never had "Champagne Cupcakes" before.... but am told they are made with real Champagne. Kinda like "7-up cake" uses actual 7-up in the mix instead of water. There is "Enough food to feed Coxey's Army" and it is just Momma and I!!!
