So I got tired of fumbling in the bottom of the jeans pocket for pellets, especially when there where 50 or 60 birds in the Apple trees or the same number decimating the Cherries so I started to think. No one here imports pellet pens, and the cost for your USD items would be about 60$AUD. Time to get inventive......The picture is self explanatory. A piece of Carbon Fibre arrow, a length of 3/16 brake line, double flared on one end, single flared on the other with a piece of 1/4 plastic tube heated to expand over the arrow shaft. The only tricky bit is turning the guide over the the brake line so it is a slight interference fit in the arrow shaft and over the brake line. Takes time and persistance but it is a hobby....... You can make the shaft as long as you like, the longer one holds 14 the shorter one 10. Any longer than 14 and I have difficulty getting my thumb over it to press the pellets down.
The arrow shaft is a nice fit for .22 pellets. The leather sheath is simply hand sewn and has a shoe lace to hang around your neck.
Works a treat, if I do say so myself!
