Looking forward to more of your report. If this thing can shoot .360 round ball, it might be my first big bore.

I do remember the ballistic pro .360 rb being better at 45 to 50 yards but not as good as the JSB at 70 yards. I think the ballistic pro .360 may be slightly over sized with the velocity drop i saw. But of course there are other rb options out there i suppose.
Well i think i've found a plausible reason why the gun seemed to have lost power. I took the stock off earlier today after work to access the plunger and the hammer spring. I laid a piece cloth over the plunger and put a flat head in place and braced myself to torque it to brake it loose. Well, it backed out without any resistance at ALL. Could've backed it out with a finger nail. I'm thinking that over the course of two tins of JSB's and various other ammo this thing could've backed itself out. It's plausible anyway. I screwed the plunger all the way in so max tension on the spring. I'll start from there Saturday and make adjustments as needed. This thing needs a set screw to keep the plunger in place. I may have to come up with something or perhaps I just overlooked it and it itself needs to be tightened. I'll give Evanix/Gamo/Winchester credit. Its much easier to access and adjust the hammer and spring on this gun than the hammer and spring on my older koreans.

On Rainstorms there's a threaded hole at the bottom of the action under the Hammerspring plug and it takes any of the set grub screws that come with UTG mounts ( the screw to stop the mounts/scope to move )
I think you got to a good place with your gun, I think.
that seems pretty nice for a stock gun with a minor adjustment. Unless im wrong i think most agree from what ive read that the JSB pellet is best kept under 900 fps though some argue 925 to 950 being ok . But the majority of what ive read states that most want to stay just under 900 and in that 870-890 Fps range , with a peak of almost 870 and an average of basically 855-860 its seems that your right there . The only thing i could see as a good reason for someone to have it shipped out for tuning would be to possibly gain some more efficiency possibly . I know ive had luck gaining some shots by sending other rifles to Will P to dial them in , re crown barrels , port match , polish etc. That was my plan and goals with the idea of getting this gun .357 ... But its really REALLY nice to see you get there without having to spend the money and deal with the downtime. CONGRATULATIONS on a nice rifle. Cant wait to hear an update on your 100 yard + attempts .
3300 psi with JSB 81 gr (135-118 fpe): 849, 853, 868, 866, 869, 864, 865, 865, 855, 847, 814, 811 (12 shots)

When you say the "end of the tube" your talking about the shroud and not the air cylinder right?
