My Windy City shot the 79 grain decent at 50 yards . I haven't tried them farther. It shoots the jsb better. How were the cast bullets sized? Mine are .358, I measured the skirt of several jsb pellets and they measured .360- .361. I'm going to try some more 79 grainers as cast to see iif my rifle likes them better.
I haven't done anything except play with the trigger. I would like to see 160 fpe but i also like the consistency. I want to spend more time with it before I change anything. I highly recommend speaking with Rick E. from airgun proshop. I talked to him before i ordered the gun back in November. If you're wanting more power he may be able to tell you what to expect if you play with the hammer spring. I actually enjoyed speaking with him and he stayed in contact until it arrived. I'd imagine he'd likely encourage you to opt for the .45 if you want more power but see what he knows.Roughly 7mm or right under 3 inches from barrel to the end of shroud. So subtracting the shroud space the barrel is 48 mm or roughly 19 inches (right under 19 inches). It's supposed to rain here saturday i think but if it doesn't I'll get out and spend time with it and try some different fill pressures.
Any way we could coax you into confirming the barrel twist rate on the .357. I’m thinking of getting one only if the twist rate makes sense like either the sam yang or original evanix. Much appreciated.
so as its breaking in your losing power ? when you try the other ammo is that just single loading or does any of the other ammo youve tried / cast etc. fit in the magazine ?im very interested in this gun but have been leaning towards a .45 with the intent to send it for tuning. cant wait until more people get their hands on these and we can get more info. from others and see what the build quality shows for consistency etc. Seems the JSB pellets are still the best in .357 Really interested to get some info on what the .45 seems to like and or not like . Thanks for all the updates and continued posts .
If you take the stock off You'll see a big slotted plug at the back of the receiver, unscrew that and the hammerspring comes out, ( there might be a set screw to stop it from moving, you can access that one on the bottom rear of the action )Those numbers seem a bit low, and way to many shots IMO.
