Then i guess long term say your ram fails then what ? It's not like gamos going to give you one. Forget that . Its hope you find it or any part overseas . Gamo usa is send it in only. Your already there on the 33mm seal and lucky I f needed custom air seals Australia has them..Its been a good gun overall and pretty much dead on target Just load and shoot I just dont know if id do there gas ram again. Anyway this thing can be shooting excellent as a guy could ask the next time you pick it up it may be not ( you think what s going on here) a hour or 2 later right back to excellent. So even if i had a good scope on it where i had it perfict zero yesterday when i parked it the next day it aint. Re zero may be happy gh or maybe low but not where you last left it for sure.

If that's true, it's not a problem for me as my neighbor is an FFL.
I went ahead and ordered a ZR and a Dampa. My buddy liked my gun so much that he bought one just like it so I'm going to give him one of the mounts for Christmas. Hopefully we'll be able to test the 2 mounts and have some insight into which, works best on this gun.

For the little it's worth, there's a seller on Amazon called Mizugiwa that makes a knock off of the Diana ZR mount that works on a picatinny rail.$17.99, yes it actually does fit on a picatinny rail and I know that because I actually have one...lol. Figured I was only out $18 if it turned out to be lousy.
Screws vibrating loose can be any screw on a springer...lol. Also why you see springer shooters say they use either Loctite Blue 242 or Vibra Tite VC-3 thread locker on all the screws in their rifles. For the little it's worth, there's a seller on Amazon called Mizugiwa that makes a knock off of the Diana ZR mount that works on a picatinny rail.$17.99, yes it actually does fit on a picatinny rail and I know that because I actually have one...lol. I put the Dampa on my gun and my buddy has been using the ZR. So far no new scope issues although I've probably only put about 1000 pellets through since attaching the Dampa and new scope. The original scope took about 4000 pellets before it broke so I'll make sure to update once I reach about 4000 on this one. My buddy doesn't shoot as often as I do so even though he's been running the ZR since just after Christmas he probably only has about 1000 pellets with it attached. One thing I noticed about the ZR is that the springs don't have any noticeable movement when mounted on these guns--it may be a bit overkill for the recoil on a Gamo 1650 but, if it saves the scope it was worth it.Quote from: SteveP-52 on January 23, 2022, 09:41:55 AMFor the little it's worth, there's a seller on Amazon called Mizugiwa that makes a knock off of the Diana ZR mount that works on a picatinny rail.$17.99, yes it actually does fit on a picatinny rail and I know that because I actually have one...lol. Afterall, the ZR is made in China (at least the one I received is).
At the risk of upsetting the OP more than helping, I have found that the weight of the rifle makes a big difference to how badly it breaks scope and loosens screws. Out of my springers, the scope-breaker of the bunch was my 495 fps youth rifle. At a weight of under 5 lbs, the recoil was unpleasant despite the low power. The screws loosened, frequently, and it broke a scope. Years later, I added weight to the stock and the muzzle, and the recoil became almost nothing. (The rifle also stopped being uber hold sensitive). If you look at the weight of higher end German springers, they are less powerful than this Gamo, but they weigh up to 10.5 lbs. This gun comes with a can. I'd take it off and make something much heavier. I'd also shorten the barrel to the ideal length for the pellets I want it to shoot, but that's another story.
