Huma has a reg that is shorter than an OEM one so one gains a little more plenum space but they come in 16.5mm (HM) threads and 19mm (newer HMx receiver) so check before buying. I have a Chassis on mine and with all the after market butt stocks (foldable if one desires) and grips available, makes it easy to build to your liking, plus it’s about a pound lighter than the laminates. You’re getting close! I'll let Scott work his magic on an unregulated build... I'm not going after huge power in .20, so I should get PLENTY of shots on a 480cc tank.

In .20 cal the gun can be set up SO MUCH MORE efficient than in .177 cal or .22 cal !!! For the limited plenum volume of these older Theoben receivers there volume is about perfect for a .20 cal running +/- 20 fpe or so.On my TM-1000 .20, have been using a BSA 200cc bottle off an R10 that still gives me over 100 shots at 20 fpe on a 230 bar fill. SSG, Light hammer, Peek poppet with cobra mod equipped among other tricks.
I've handle so few of the Dawsons that i'm not able to state where in the linage of RAPID to MFR to RAW and now X receivers this shift in length happenes. If your DAWSON is of RAW length getting a modern stock should be a lot easier.* if going to the V block regulator / configuration you will need a BLANKING PLUG to fill the hole where the bottom fill will be removed.
I sympathize with you…so close yet so FAR! Had to send my Athlon scope in for service (should have arrived today) that was on my RAW….so, yeah, something is amiss with our guns! LOL! Usually shoot daily if at all possible so I am waiting….impatiently…
