I ate the second half of my “Tiger” burrito from Mexican last night. No pictures, but not from Bangkok… it’s Mexican through & through- steak, chicken & chorizo with all the fixings inside- guacamole, salsa, pico, etc… smothered in queso… and it’s huge!I’m full, it’s nap time! No wonder my back hurts!

No wonder my back hurts! We've found true Mexican food to be not to or liking. It strikes us as being a little on the bland side. Though not native born Texans, we prefer Tex-Mex over Mexican and no, we do not put/have beans in our chili.

Same with college football… when I was kid we really could give a rip about Rutgers or Princeton… but here in Arkansas- everyone is a Razorback, from birth, I think.
Dinner last night was a T-bone and baby yellow potatoes over the fire. Breakfast will be sausage gravy over toast, forgot the biscuits

You’re correct, Greg… it’s Tex-Mex… and I appreciate Texans and the beans/no beans, but I must admit- I really don’t understand the debate.

I don't either and I'm 5th gen Texan on both family sides. I'd happily eat chili with or without beans. Speaking of I just saw the new Hormel chili commercial and it's so stupid it cracked me up! Such yummy looking grub you boys are posting. Scott your grannie's recipe looks very similar to my grannies and they are indeed the best ones I've ever tasted. PS John true about AR and the razorbacks but AR doesn't have anything on AL screaming ROLL TIDE! I believe they're the most die hard of any state.
