My Uncle's Crosman 106

I few weeks ago my uncle and I were talking about pellet guns and he says I have one that doesn't work, do you think you can fix it? Of course I say yes so today I went to see what he had. He goes in the shed and pulls out a Crosman 106 .22 pistol. So I ask him if he has pellets and he says yes somewhere. He found the pellets but put them in a small bottle, what a drag... I wanted to see the old tin. He bought it for $7 at TGY in Lafayette 50? years ago.
I need to find a parts kit and get it shooting again, it's just a plinker but should be fun for him to shoot it again. He bought it before he joined the Army and kept it all these years so I know he liked it.
He's lived in the same place(family land) since he came back from the military and I'm living on the same land now(after 24 years of military service) so I feel like I have an obligation to get it shooting again.
Here's the pics, who remembers these pellets?

I have the 105 or .177 version of this gun, first one Crosman made. They are not powerhouses and if you overdo it you can bend the cocking arm which has been done to yours. Put some Pell oil down the pump and see if you get any compression you have to cock the gun first to seal it. If nothing seal kits are available. These are made of brass very cool.

I pulled it apart this morning and cleaned it up. It had debris from the plunger in the tube and valve. I cleaned it and coated it with secret sauce. It did hold pressure a little the first time I pumped it but now it won't. I see Mac1 has a new plunger so I'll order it and see if the valve holds.
I found a short piece of a spring in the hammer. It's not broken because you can see the long spring has ground ends.
Do you think someone added it to increase pressure because it wasn't dumping all of the air when shot?

Robert, about the pellets: I have some tins with screw-off lids that have H C on the lid. I think that might be the same pellets. They probably date back to the 1950s. The is a picture of the pellet between the "H" and the “C”.
Sweet looking old pistol you have there.

That’s the tin. I have one in .22 and one in .177 - both were 250 count. And I also have a
one pound
size BB tin - also in green. I have no idea why I kept them all these years.

Baker airguns had a seal kit, probably could make one up, they probably don't have much call for them. Looks like seals similar to my 101?

I think the valve seals are good and if not I know I can use some plumbers washers to get it fixed. That kit looks like the same thing for my 114. I'm gonna order the pump seal from Mac1 since I need a seal kit for the 58 Dan too and combine the shipping. A dollar saved goes to another gun!!!!

I ordered the seals from Mac1 Tuesday and they came in today. All I had to replace was the pump seal and she's shooting nice. Ran about 20 pellets through it earlier then returned it to my uncle and he's happy it's working again.
Next on the list is the 58 Dan.

I have that "bicycle pump" pistol in the classifieds that needs resealed. If it don't sell soon I may have to glove up and go in.

Change the pump seal first, it's $11 and has an O-ring. It's 1 pin or screw a little cutoff wheel and back together, it might take you 15 minutes tops.

I may have misled.. It don't need resealed. You can barely squeeze 2 pumps in it and it shoots weak. I just never fooled with it. It's a sweet looking classic. I just thought someone would like to add it to their collection that has more time on their hands than I do.

It is a sweet looking piece to add to a collection!!
I still haven't gotten a response about that short piece of spring someone added to the hammer. I know it's never been apart since he bought it. I put it back together just like I found it and it shoots great, it surprised me it was louder than I thought with 8 pumps. Next time I have my chrony out I'll run it and see what it shoots, I'm curious.
