The 2nd Annual Indiana Spring Fling will be held April 13th thru April 15th. It will be at 2900 West County Road 750 South, Commiskey In. 47227
Known as the Barn. Mark your calanders for this one. It is going to be fun.
There is plenty of room for primitive camping, you can shoot just about anything you want. The Barn is heated and airconditioned with a kitchen and bathroom. It is open with plenty of room to just set around and shoot the bull. We will set up as many shooting lanes as needed. We can set targets from 10 yards to past 200 yards. I got some targets from Steelplinkers and will try and get some more. They will be set up to shoot. I will set some steel targets out past 100 yards, for those of us that want to see how far we can hit something. Anyone that has something to shoot at, bring it.
My Daughter, Brandi said she woud fix us something to eat. We will have a couple of grills for hotdogs and burgers, and some soup on the fire.
As always it cost nothing. Bring your stuff and have a good time. I am looking forward to seeing all the shooters that where here last year and all the shooters making the trip for the first time.
Jimmy

"My Daughter, Brandi said she woud fix us something to eat."
What's the secret to getting her to do that?
I had to fix my own food tonight ;)

I'm still in need of data for personal
research regarding these units.

We are only a little over two weeks from the shoot. I hope winter gets tired and takes a break. There will be several of us camping this year. Remember the camping is primitive. Unless you want to sleep in the barn. It sound worse than it is. Spread the word and let's make this a great time. Are any of the guys from Ky. going to make it this year?
For any informationl:

I don't get to come this year. I have to attend a work training thing that will run all day Friday and Saturday that weekend. I would much rather be out in the sun shooting stuff.
-
looking forward to stopping back this year.
-
I talked to Jimmy today via telephone. He is planning a really nice event, it can only become better each year. Heck, last year it was great!
Lilly and I will be there with our little Scamp pulling in right behind us. See 'y'all in a couple of weeks!

%$#@Q&^*!!!
LIFE KEEPS GETTING IN THE WAY!
Can not believe it is here all ready.
I will try... Honest Injun
-
We are going to be in Ohio at a show on Friday and Saturday, but I think we can come down on Sunday.
We probably can't get there before noon. Will y'all still be at it then?
-
Ohhh MAN this is the same weekend as Findlay?!
-
I plan on being at Findley this year.
It's only around 36 miles from my home!
-
I AM IN!!!
I know there is more than one thread on this but I would like to confirm if there is going to be a source of air?
I am hoping to top off my small bottles before I leave for my 3 HPA's but a Big SCUBA tank or compressor would be awesome!
That will tell be what guns to bring.
I am planning on bringing my 2 resettable targets, my spinners, and a bunch of paint balls and a bunch of Realtor signs and printed targets for long range. Can even do some "Big Boom Caps" if needed.
Also about 30 CO2 carts and a bulk fill set up for others.. temps permitting.
In case we need an awning I can throw that in the truck as well.
You want me to bring my big cast iron pot (5G) and tripod or the grill grate for over a fire?
I got venison.
-
If I can hit Findley for a quick walk through (That never happens) I may be able to do the 4 hour drive down.
But then again. If you all are there Friday nite I could pass on Findley and come spend the night.
If you have a source of power I can bring the AV compressor.
-
I plan on leaving here early Saturday should still be AM when I arrive, 4 hour drive... Can then spend the night in the truck bed (topper and mattress). I will leave Sunday when everything fizzles out to be home at a decent evening hour.
-
We should be there Sunday around noon. All three days on our radar for next year.
I will have at least on 60 minutes SCBA tank with me, Hopefully next year we can just bring the 45L tank and fill station.
Had a great talk with the organizers today. I really hope this leads to even more years and more places. Hosting social shoots like this is high on the priority list for us in Madison County. We understand that the bar is being set pretty high with the Spring Fling, but hope to pull something off.
I plan on bringing a .25 Marauder, .22 Compatto, .30 X2 Sniper, and whatever the Daystate Rep. is nice enough to let me borrow.
"It's a small world, but I would still hate to have to paint it."

Jason has a compressor we can top off with. If the weather works out we will cook a pot of veggi soup on the fire. I have some fine venison too.

I plan to be there on Friday.
Thank you Jimmy for organizing the shoot.
The Northern KY GTA shoot last spring was fun except for the rain storm.
-
I was planning on making it there this year since it was announced, but life threw some things in the way. But if there is any way possible, me and my wife try to get there.
-
Pack your bags Brother.

Does not necesssrily mean "bring wife and mother in law" :o
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
She can't see that... right?
-
LOL guys. :D
-
Weather's looking good but mother nature still has 5 days to cook something up.
I have this thing called a job, ruins all sorts of stuff. I'm looking at Friday, when does the party start?
-
I have seen rain forecasted on Saturday for the last week.
But I agree, Mother Nature is a Fickle B... and Weather Men can't see to predict today let alone a week in advance.
-
Unfortunately, the weather does not look good. Hopefully a major shift changes it fast.

Earlier today, www.weather.com (http://www.weather.com) had dropped it to showers and only a 50% chance for Saturday.
Now it is back up to 100% Thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday!!!
Guess I will keep watching and determine for sure on Saturday early A.M. !

Were hoping to leave tomorrow. >:( I haven't been able to shoot since December and I've got the itch bad!
-
I will be there rain or shine. I can hide under my camper top and shoot from inside the bed of my truck if the weather gets bad enough. Havent had any time to shoot since hunting season ended and I need the break.
On a side note: is it okay if I bring my dog in case I decide to stay overnight? She goes everywhere with me and has become my partner in crime lol. She even went deer and squirrel hunting with me this last season. Tried to get my wife to come but she said she would put a damper on my good time. She’s not a fan of rain and I think she’s going to hang with the girls but can’t prove it!
-
Jerry.
We are heading out tomorrow too. We look forward to visiting with you and Nicole. I really hope the weather cooperates.
We had a grand time last year.

I really hope so. Even if it means leaving Friday, especially after talking to Jimmy on the phone. Jimmy seems like a great guy and I was hoping to meet you too Hoosier.
-
I am still planning to be there, unless I hear it's raining pitchforks and grindstones Saturday morning.
The airguns I bring might change though. ;)
-
From looking online, it still looks like it's going to rain all day Sat. and most of Sun. Have you heard anything different locally Jimmy?
-
I should roll in around 10AM Friday give or take a half hour.
-
Well $%(&#$, the weather looks horrible all weekend so I guess we will have to miss this one. If it wasn't 6 hours we would take the chance but...
Thanks for the invite Jimmy and I hope the weather holds back and all you guys can get some shooting in.

I am on the fence due to the weather. Targets made, spinners and knock-downs got a fresh coat of paint, sleeping bag is in the truck.
I guess I will keep an eye on the storms. ::)
-
Having seen Jimmy's man cave (well, actually it's a house), it will be easy to get out of the weather if something rolls through. I had a huge ton of fun last year, sorry I don't get to come to this one.
-
All my gear is staged and ready to bug out.... BUT
I Just found out I have to work.
Line 13 Extruder broke down at 1:30 and it ain't good.
We are already 2 days behind on shipments from it and now this. Saturday mandated for my Crew and I need to be there to manage. We will be lucky to get it back together by Wednesday but probably Friday next week.
Welcome to my life as an Industrial Maintenance Manager. >:(
-
Hope it's going well for you all and your weather is better than here. Cold and rain.
Still would be better than being stuck at my desk, in here on a Saturday.
At least I can surf GTA. ::)
Don't feel bad about it one bit since I am salary and not getting anything for it.
Somebody post some pics!
-
U had a great time Friday. Great group of people. I forgot to take pictures.
How was the weather Saturday

How was the weather Saturday
Friday definitely was the best day to shoot. Had alot of fun. Saturday morning rain had moved in but sometime that afternoon it stopped for a few. the wife and I decided to see what her dad (Jimmy) was up to...by that time it started drizzling rain. When we pulled in Jimmy, birddog and geronimo was sitting out in it shooting! Lol...well we couldn't let them set there alone so we pulled out the rainy day rifles and shot. The drizzling rain did stop and that's when things got interesting...not so much the shooting...geronimo is a mobile gun show and just about every rifle ...has a price...just about every rifle! I think my wife was about to buy it all..lol
She bought her a Urban in 22 and my son in law bought an urban in 22 and my daughter bought a 25cal Springer. .
It was a good time listening to them dealing..
It's raining now. We will probably still go down to the barn and set with Jimmy for a few..I still have to bring my tank and compressor up to to the house..
Wish the weather was better so more would have shown but that's the way it goes. Indiana weather gotta love it.
-
We rolled in Thursday afternoon. We shot until dark, what a great place to shoot. Jimmy and his family are very hospitable people. We spent the night in our small camper. Friday was beautiful and shooters started to roll in. Would you believe I got sunburns / wind burns?
There were opportunities to shoot many fine air guns, guns that I had only read about. The target layout was amazing, you could shot any distance that you might desire.
It was Lilly's and my 45th wedding anniversary weekend, Jimmy and Cheryl supplied cake and ice-cream. It was a very nice surprise and Lilly and I really can't thank them enough.
We had a good time, next year we'll have better weather.
BobH.

Was a pleasure to meet you Bob and everyone else of course!

And Thank You again for the pellet pouches.

Sorry we missed it, Happy Anniversary Bob and Lilly.
