Last night's plot wrecker.

A cattle rancher I knew planted corn to attract deer in one of his hilltop hay fields one year. He took a quad up there and saw three bear heads looking around, like submarine periscopes over the tall corn rows. That was the last year he planted corn. He went back to hay and added a few apple trees to attract the dear instead. Turns out bears like apples too and they would push over the baby apple trees to get the apples. Then my friend righted the trees and put wire fences around them. Only to have the bears collapsed the wire fences and push over the apple trees anyway. Bears are nothing but trouble.
Now...that's a SMUDGE! You sure get some big visitors @ your all night buffet! LOL!
Ha, that's pretty funny!Know what might keep him away? Peanut butter on a Victor rat trap. That would pop him in the nose pretty good and would make for some entertaining Critter Cam footage!
Bears are notorious trouble makers. They no more than 300lb raccoons. Makes it harder to pest proof your property. I've known them get into cabins through screen doors. A big dog is good thing in black bear country.
