I got them both in the same area that I got my last one. After I shot the reds I headed for the Ghog spot but trying to sneak in from the woods got a little more difficult than I thought, I could use a machete but I don't know if the DNR would frown on cutting a trail the way I want to get in. Maybe there's something in the rules about it. I did manage to fight my way out right where I'd want to be but I made way more noise than I wanted too. There might have been a Ghog or two before I started making all the noise but I'll never know.

Great Video, Wayne !
That was some excellent shooting and tracking in all the heavy cover. That had to be very hard to see enough of them to get a shot off and then to track them down and find them. Good Job !
Best Wishes - Tom
P.S.
How are the skeeters and ticks in your area ? The woods around me are especially full of both this year.

You are on fire Wayne! Great shooting!
Tom, that is a good question you asked Wayne, but even if his hunting grounds were tick ridden I don't think it would stop him or slow down his hunting efforts
Unfortunately for me the deer ticks and Lyme disease have kept me out of the woods in the warmer months for years. My area (and all of Southern NY state) is the worst for Lyme disease in the country. I have not been in the woods in the spring/summer since my wife got Lyme 11 years ago, and I saw how sick she got. We also now have thousands of cases of Lone Star tick-borne disease(s) in my area, that in addition to making you sick it causes allergies to mammalian meat (beef/pork/lamb/venison, etc.) and other food allergies that change your life and eating habits in a major way. Deer here is everywhere and so are the ticks in great numbers. My gun club has not 1, but three (3) 250 to 330 acre properties that are prime hunting grounds, but they are full of deer and ticks and the stories I hear from other club members who have contracted Lyme and told me stories of taking off a dozen ticks from their body, keeps me away from there in the off season too. The only time I 'll go to the woods is in the late Fall and winter. I actually did go a couple of years ago in September for squirrel and Groundhog and tried to stay away from any tall grass, bushes or heavy brush, but the mosquitoes ate me alive even though I had sprayed repellent on my clothes, so that's another issue too
They kept going after my forehead, neck and ears, and were relentless. Drove me nuts. In less than an hour I put up with it I got stung 14 times. It was 65 deg. and I couldn't cover up entirely without getting too hot or sweating.
I have no issues in the winter though, except for the extreme cold temps and other deer hunters shooting my direction and hearing the bullets hit trees and break bark behind me or close by

I haven't found any ticks on me in a while now, towards the end of May it seemed like I was seeing them often, mosquito's are a different story though, I use lots of deet and it seems to help a lot (especially for the ticks) but every now and then a skeeter will nail me, a couple hunts ago the mosquito's were actually flying up the sleeves of my realtree flannel and biting me. When I get home the T shirt and shirt come off immediately and go in the dryer, I read somewhere that will kill the ticks on clothing in short order if there are any. I then proceed to a mirror to check myself for ticks as well. I did get one buried in me this year for the first time in a long time. Metal detecting in the woods in the summer is the same way, lot of ticks and you really have to check things out when you get home.

Thanks Tim !!! I don't know if they're the new improved ones but here's what the tin looks like that they came in. I got them from Trenier about 2 months ago and they didn't say one way or the other, the tin looks like the other tin I had before.
