So we just got my wife a gamo shadow whisper and it's got dovetail scope rail. My airguns all have weaver rails so I haven't had to deal with dovetails on a Springer in a long time but when I was younger I remember how much I hated them. What's the best scope rings at a reasonable price that won't walk backwards? And also what's a good light scope that's good for a beginner to learn. One of my favorite scopes is the bug buster but idk how well she would do with the adjustable paralax. So should I get her a fixed 4 power scope that i don't have to worry about paralax adjustments. Or do you guys think paralax adjustment is a must. Tia guys
Hey Cody, first congrats on getting your wife involved!A one piece mount can be the solution you are looking for in rings. They have more grip area than standard 2 piece rings.Hammers has one that I personally have had great luck with. $15 on Amazon. As far as AO vs fixed... I would definitely get her an AO, even if she used the gun at a specific range each and every time, it is nice to be able to adjust the focus. She could set it and forget it. But if you plan on shooting a variety of targets at different yardages, say from 10-20-30 yards they are great to have.

Tia guys For a while now I've been using a UTG MNT-DTW145 Universal Dovetail to Picatinny/Weaver Rail Adaptor (under 15$ on Ebay) along with a cheap set of Weaver Quad Lock rings. I ordered the adapter online and bought the Weaver rings at Walmart (rings cost under $10)................https://www.ebay.com/itm/UTG-MNT-DTW145-Universal-Dovetail-to-Picatinny-Weaver-Rail-Adaptor/202308280996?epid=2254852100&hash=item2f1a8362a4:g:OXsAAOSwCeRa8jSL:rk:10:pf:0
Do what NCED does! Otherwise BLK rings are stout. Yes, airguns need parallax adjustment. 3-7X scope should be fine. Look at Hawke and UTG for cheapies.
