Reminder: Pacific Airgun Expo, a bi-annual show, is April 13-14 2019 at the Eldorado County Fairgrounds, Placerville, California.

So far these vendors are attending: Air Tanks Plus, Barry Hirsch, Born Wild Shooting Chairs, DGS Airguns, Dan House, Jefferson State Air Rifles, Matthew Saenz, Nielsen Specialty Ammo.

Please help spread the word
I am not a professional show promoter, nor am I active on the very many chat forums, nor is our niche so large that the income from the show provides very much money for traditional marketing.  I therefor ask everyone that feels love in your heart for our favorite sport and hobby to help spread the word about the show to the vendors that you do business with, post online on the chat forums if you are attending, and most importantly by posting paper flyers around your local area.

Print flyers from https://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/pae-flyers.html (https://www.pacificairgunexpo.com/pae-flyers.html) and post them at your gun club, sporting goods stores, telephone poles, coffee shop bulletin boards, indoor shooting ranges, the local golf course (there's a lot of shooting enthusiasts among the ball hitters), or anywhere else you think would be good (and allow it).

The show is an opportunity to see new products in person and the opportunity to trade, buy, and sell.  From collectable guns to new products it is an airgunner's nirvana.  So much safer and easier than online.

Help grow our sport
Another primary goal I know we all share for the Pacific Airgun Expo is to educate the greater shooting sports public that the airgun hobby has grown up and is worthy of consideration.  As new people come into our sport, they support the vendors they learn about at shows like the Pacific Airgun Expo, and if our vendors grow their business, they'll get to stick around and continue to provide us with the cool stuff we all want and need.

I am absolutely convinced that the airgun market space has a lot of potential to grow, but we're so small it has to largely be a grass-roots type effort.  Please help me spread the word about the Pacific Airgun Expo.  I can't afford the time and money to do much on my own, but collectively, with just a few posts online and by sending an email to your tuner, a collector you've bought from, or vendor you do business with, and most importantly for those in the western states by posting flyers, we can get a lot of attention for very little cost or effort.

You're not helping me line my pockets with your effort.  I make very little money putting on the show, and it is a lot of work.  That's not the point and it's not why I put on the show.  I want the show to be successful for our vendors by there being lots of attendees.  Our vendors provide us with the products we need; I want them to do well.  And I know we would all want the show to be successful for the public.   They want to see and buy cool stuff from vendors.  They want to get educated on the state of the art, or very often get educated on something old and collectable.  With your help I have no doubt the Pacific Airgun Expo will be a fantastic time for everyone.

Newspaper
I will be running ads in the Sacramento newspaper again, that was quite successful at the last show.  Any other mention you can get for us in your local newspaper (especially if they have a hunting/fishing type column), or in a radio show, would be fantastic.

Rent your own hang-out spot for all day attendees
Hanging around the Pacific Airgun Expo all day both days can be very lucrative for the opportunities that walk in the door carrying airguns for sale or trade.  Staying around all day is also a fantastic way to network and make new friends.  If you are coming some distance and plan to spend the entire time at the show, consider supporting the show a bit further and rent yourself your own table.  It comes with chairs :-).  The first PAE shows that I attended I rented a table even though I really didn't have anything much to sell.  It's not very expensive and gives you a couple of chairs and your own hang out space, and guaranteed everyone that comes to the show will walk by your table with something interesting to trade or sell or just to make airgun conversation.  I've always sold at least one or two things though that paid for my trip each time.  I like it when my hobbies cover their own costs :-)

Dinner at the Placerville Brewing Company
We will again be having a "State of the Airgun Industry" meeting and dinner at the brewery across the street from the show Saturday evening.  We will hear comments from our vendors about what they are planning for their businesses in the near future, where they think the industry is going, and what we might all be able to do collectively to continue to help grow our market.

It's a sticky notice in the Announcement Gate Michael. We're spreading the word the best we can.
