Hiram 4-14x50 Magnification First Focal Plane Mil Dot Rifle Scope
(1/1)
Troy A.:
Has anyone checked out this FFP scope on Amazon? It is only $149.99 and has one very good review. I was looking at a UTG 8-32X56 (closeout) for the same price from somewhere else. Should I get the proven high magnification SFP scope or the unknown FFP scope. It will go on a Gamo Urban that I am saving for.

Time to scrutinize the unknown warranty, is it lifetime, is it spring gun rated, do you need to present the sales receipt. Can you return it to the retailer for refund because you emotionally just don't like it's looks ? (Amazon)
IMHO would stick with known brand names or give the unknown couple of years for others to review or just to see how long it's on the market. I'm no guinea pig for new unknown products. Typically for optics the more you spend the better, there are no bargains in optics.

I just came across this post and just wanted to say I ordered a Hiram 4-14x44 FFP scope a couple days ago just to see what a 110.00 dollar scope with FFP has to offer, who knows it might work or it will get thrown in a box.

Please let me know what you think of it because it looks like the exact same scope another company is selling for $229

Same brand but larger ...I have 2 of the HIRAM 10x40x 60 units so far on my carnivore .30 , and bullboss .25 they are performing really GOOD ! very clear etched in glass mildot no wires to break ! another thing when you turn on the battery and aluminate , just the center mildot lights up NOT the entire inside of the scope ... these scopes are acting like very expensive scopes with those type of features ,also they adjust from 20 yards out ... I payed 110 and 112 on fleabay ... these so far for me have been the biggest bang for the $$$$ for a scope in this category .... one more thing lines with mildots are very fine so they do not cover the target up to much .... and on 30mm main tube with 60mm front lens they really bring in the light .... they make the top of the line centerpoint scopes look cheap !
