Sumatra carbine with regulated paintball tank

A while back Froggy posted an idea he had to attach a paintball tank to the end of his Sumatra. Been thinking about his idea ever since. Love the idea of a regulated Sumatra. Today I removed the (not sure of the correct name) front sight air tube bracket on the end of the gun that holds/connects both air tubes and the barrel together to try and get ideas.
Here's what I'm considering for my .25 carbine;
Suppose I removed the lower air tube to eliminate some weight and make the gun less bulky. Carefully cut the lower tube off the front sight/bracket I removed, then drill and tapped the hole that was previously connecting the two tubes to 1/8 npt and reinstall the bracket over the barrel and top tube. Then using high pressure pipe fittings and an asa on/off adapter, hang the paintball tank below the single tube. The top tube will become the plenum for the regulated paintball tank once the lower tube is removed. I couldn't get my caliper in the bracket as well as I'd like but it appears there's about 0.43" usable thickness for the threads. I'd think that would be sufficient. I'd also make some sort of bracket to support the tank. Looks like I'd have to cut about 1.5" off the forearm with a 13 ci tank. I think a 17 ci tank will also, if so, that's what I'll most likely go with, but I would lose even more of the forearm obviously.
Whadda think? Doable? Practical?

I was hoping someone might have tried something like this before and chime in before I start hacking away on a $650 airgun. Guess not. I've put bottles on three different Crosman airguns to this point similar to what I'm proposing:
Prod connected to the fill adapter.
A converted 2260 (with valve screw upgrade and extension) connected to a disco fill adapter.
A disco with the air tube cut down with the tank attached at the gauge block.
All the tanks are supported by a 1" diameter round nylon rod I cut about an inch long and sanded down to fit the curvature of the air tube and tank, held in place by a stainless wire ties I found at Home Depot. I really like all three. I just can't see any reason why something similar wouldn't work on the Sumatra.

I'm definitely going to add a bottle... Not regulated... The carbine barrel length will require a high reg pressure... Probably around 140 bar.
I already get a very good shot string...36 shots from 210 down to 145 bar. Adding a 160cc bottle will give about 55 shots with a es of less than 2%.

Thanks for your input Froggy. I was hoping you might respond. What you've achieved with your Sumatra is amazing, no real reason for a regulator. I plan to start at max power but will probably taper back at some point to increase shot count, assuming all goes as planned. Do you see any obvious flaws in my plan?
