If you're power wheel rotates to easily and doesn't stay on a selected settings it's a easy fix.
First remove the receiver cover by removing the top 2screws and wiggling it off. Remove the front hand grip.
Turn power wheel to max and mark it to ensure its in the same position during re assembling.
The power wheel can be removed without any further disassembly... I took the picture after complete disassembly.
Now use a screwdriver as a punch,on the power wheel shaft, and tap lightly with the handle of another screwdriver. It should just slide out. The shaft has a flat side on the bottom to clear the valve retention screws.
Inspect the ball bearing in the shaft... If it moves freely with adequate spring tension.... The problem lies with the slots in the wheel.
Use a small square file or dremel to enlarge the slots... Don't overdo it... Do a little at a time and test on shaft until it feels stiff enough

Good post.
I'd like to see a powerwheel that has a range of numbers. 1-15 or however many clicks there are. Any machinists up to the challenge?
