is there a reason not to use button head screws? mcmasters has a 10-32 button and a 8-32 flanged button. both these have larger diameter head than the low profile 10-32. they are rated 20k psi less and say not recommended for high-strength fastening. 120k psi seems really strong to me. is the thickness of the low profile head needed?I only ask because it seems from what I have read fit seems to matter as much as tensile strength.Flanged Button-Head Socket Cap Screw: 8-32http://www.mcmaster.com/#96660a158/=vhb0naButton-Head Cap Screw: 10-32http://www.mcmaster.com/#91306a352/=vhazyb
Lloyd, would you mind making a recommendation on a *safe* (3:1) fill pressure for 2 x 10-32 x 180,000 ksi screws at 180° from each other in a Disco tube?My Millennium Pumper check valves are secured that way and I'd like an engineer answer for what would be considered a safe working pressure...*For Informational Purposes ONLY* of course. Please PM me your answer if you don't wish to post it here.Thank you Sir!Mike
